OUR STORY
Muskego Lakes Country Club was built by renowned designer Larry Packard and opened for play as a semi-private course in 1970. In 1974 the Krause family purchased the facility. It was a young course, with standards and playability being average at best. The Krause family, along with the many past and present employees, spent uncountable hours improving course conditions and clubhouse appeal. Since the spring of 1999 three of the Krause sons, Mark, Steve & Chris, purchased the family business from their father. Their goal, most notably seen through the efforts of their staff, is to provide their guests with an experience that surpasses anticipation. Although Scott Krause is no longer with us, the vision he so diligently labored to create lives on through the efforts of his sons and all the staff members of Muskego Lakes Country Club.
PATHWAY TO OUR VISION/COURSE TRANSFORMATION
From 1999 to present, the entire facility has received major improvements. The addition of continuous paved cart paths and the re-modeling of the entire clubhouse was the beginning of the renovation. Shortly following was the aesthetic improvements to the entry driveway, clubhouse exterior and areas surrounding tee boxes. These improvements were made possible through the use of creative landscaping and the addition of innumerable plants and flowers. We have now created an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility.
This plan included a renewed commitment to providing golf course conditions comparable to courses of great distinction. Trees and sand bunkers have been removed in some areas and added elsewhere while tees, fairways and greens have all been cut shorter to enhance the golfing experience. As caretakers of Muskego Lakes Country Club we take great pride in this transformation and hearing the delighted response of our patrons after they experienced this transformation. Please accept our invitation to experience Muskego Lakes Country Club as you have never seen it, and truly enjoy an occasion sure to exceed your expectations.
